Soll Leisure is supporting ‘Disabled Access Day’ at Park Club Milton and Willowbrook Leisure Centre.
Taking place over three days on the 10th-12th March, Disabled Access Day aims to encourage disabled people to visit a venue that they have never been to before. It could simply be a trip to a local coffee shop or restaurant, or to places further afield like famous British tourist attractions. In doing so, they will highlight those venues that have good accessibility, as well as drawing attention to those that need to improve their disabled access provision. For more information you can visit www.disabledaccessday.com.
As part of Disabled Access Day Soll Leisure is promoting the benefits of sport and physical activity, with our mission to get more people, more active, more often. Being active is good for everyone's health and well-being. There are many ways for people to enjoy an active lifestyle. Getting fit can help improve certain physical functions to help with daily life, reduce the chance of obesity caused by disability and provide general health and mental wellbeing. Whatever your level of physical ability, there are fitness options that are right for everyone.
We have some great sessions available over the weekend, and are encouraging everyone to come down and give them a try. Please see our timetable of activities below.
