Congratulations to our very own Health and Fitness Manager/Personal Trainer, Hayley Reynolds, for qualifying for the NABBA British Finals!
In August 2017 Hayley made the decision to take part in her first bodybuilding competition, something completely new and miles out of her comfort zone. After doing some research into associations she decided to go for NABBA (National Amateur Body-Builders' Association), meaning she would have to prepare herself to be stage ready for the 28th April 2018.
Knowing this, she worked backwards, giving herself 16 weeks to prep (diet), which meant she had another 16 weeks to build as much muscle as she possibly could before starting the cut phase. Alongside this, she decided to work with prep coach and IFBB pro Rosie 'rascal' Harte. Together they managed to get her not only physically, but mentally ready for stage. The result...third place, but most importantly an invitation to the British Finals in Southport on the 26th May.
Hayley stated "Bodybuilding has changed not only my body, but also my mind. It's taught me so much more about myself than I thought possible. It's brought a strength to me I've never had before and has become a deep passion of mine and a huge part of my life".
In the meantime, if you wish to follow Hayley's journey, you can simply find and follow her on Instagram under hayley_personaltrainer.
Hayley, from everyone at The Park Club, we wish you the best of luck on the 26th!
